German A1 Mock Exam — Privacy Policy

German A1 Mock Exam for Goethe ("the app", package com.germana1mock.app) is a practice and mock-test app for Android for the A1 German exam Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Start Deutsch 1.

What the app collects

Nothing. The app does not collect, store on a server, share or sell any personal or usage data. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

What stays on your device

Your answers, the texts you type in Schreiben, your self-ratings, scores, mistakes, the number of times you played each listening clip, error reports you write and your settings are saved in the app's private storage on your phone, so that you can resume a test and review your results. They never leave the device in this version of the app. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage, deletes them.

If you turn on Android's own backup, your phone may copy the app's storage to your Google account, as it does for other apps. That backup is controlled by you and Google; we never receive it and cannot read it.

Listening audio and speaking

All listening audio is built into the app and plays from your phone; nothing is streamed. The app has no microphone permission and never records you: for Sprechen you speak aloud and rate yourself.

Internet access

The app declares the Internet permission for a future feature that downloads new and corrected questions. In this version that feature is switched off: the app never connects to the internet and works fully offline. Error reports you write with "Report a problem" are saved on your phone and are not sent anywhere. If a future version sends any data (for example, an error report you choose to submit), this policy will be updated before that version is released and will say exactly what is sent.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.
